Grace Cross

Grace Cross is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in harp performance under Kathy Kienzle at the University of Minnesota, exploring contemporary arts’ role in community engagement and utilizing her minor in cognitive science to investigate psychology’s function in pedagogy. Before relocating to Minneapolis, Cross studied with Yolanda Kondonassis at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. Her research into the field of music psychology began during these years with an interdepartmental study evaluating the pedagogy of CIM’s renowned faculty with the findings of psychological literature on learning and memory. Prior to her collegiate studies, Cross hailed from the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy, as a student of Joan Holland.
